the types and effects of the pressures arising during drilling wells helps to
design the well drilling program for the well as well as drilling safer wells
while understanding the main types of problems associated with these pressures.
The course is designed to focus on the development of the concept of
compression and the techniques used to evaluate it during drilling. It also
covers the introduction to mud layer systems, mud layer testing and testing,
and the problems associated with the use of drilling fluids. In addition, the
concepts of well control and drilling techniques are covered, so that the
course is presented in a way that links these concepts to each other in order
to develop the participants’ knowledge of what happens during the drilling
operations to include configuration pressure and configuration

What Will I Learn?

  • Understand the basic concepts of drilling pressure in addition to the geological concept behind the development of drilling pressure.
  • Calculation of hydrostatic pressure as well as monitoring of mounting pressure during drilling operations.
  • Learn the factors that affect the ROP with understanding the effect of each.

  • Track drilling pressure using standard assessment techniques.
