A
hybrid vehicle uses two or more separate types of energy, such as an internal
combustion engine that operates a generator that operates an electric motor.
For example, in hybrid trains, diesel engines run the electric generator that
runs the electric motor. The course aims at providing the trainees with the
necessary skills to maintain hybrid vehicles, understanding the concepts of
hybrid and electrical engineering, and applications related to hybrid systems
such as batteries and engines. The course includes a theoretical study of
hybrid cars and practical applications in laboratories and workshops dedicated
to this purpose
