Description

Clear technical reports and procedures are important in the pharmaceutical industry. They are used to communicate the results of product development and investigation work, and can be reviewed by the FDA, or other regulatory bodies, if they are part of institutional provision. At this session, participants will learn how to analyze and deliver technical data in a clear and concise manner. They will produce effective charts and graphs using Microsoft Excel® graphics tools and will design charts that make data comparison an effective tool for the target audience. Significant statistical methods such as extreme value assessment, variance analysis, empirical design and uncertainty estimation will be covered. The elements of the standard operating procedures will also be explained.

What Will I Learn?

  • Writing technical reports and effective procedures that meet the needs of the target group
  • Demonstrate complex experimental data in a logical, clear and concise manner to optimize the use of graphs, charts and tables
  • Build credibility by following the traditions of scientific writing to support interpretations and arguments
  • Ensuring technical documentation maximizes impact by structuring data effectively and avoiding common typographical errors in English
  • Analysis of experimental data using the principles of statistical analysis
  • Writing technical procedures
